Message Well, at least I wish there was more of an update. I have called Mark @ SGP probably 4-8 times, actually talked to him 2-3 times, and have received 0 call backs, 0 email returned. :( Rather frustrating to say the least. This is after they received the motor my motor a few days after this post:

I talked w/ Mark probably the falling week, he wanted me to ship everything to him. At first I agreed, but then I wanted some sort of quote on putting things back together before I spent a TON of money on shipping TONS of money of parts.... Well that was ~2 months ago. I have talked w/ Mark once or twice since then, but haven't gotten any sort of quote, commitment to try to make things right....nothing.

The only thing that I have gotten is that the middle 2 cylinders on my block were ballooned....Nothing else. No real answers to the question of was it that way when I put it in, no answers of what is going to be done to make it right, nothing.

Then today.... I get a call I didn't want. Last week I dropped my heads off at a good head shop here in the valley (West Coast Cylinder Heads-EXTREMELY good guys w/ tons of fast cars built)... Today they called and said the heads are pretty much trash too. :( Tons of "iron dust type substance" in the lifter area, and the heads are questionable if it is worth it to fix them.......UGH....1k in heads....trash along w/ my $2800 SGP broke ass motor. DOH!

So I call Mark today @ SGP (late in the day his time), but after my call w/ the head shop. Thomas said he was gone, Thomas takes ANOTHER message that I called, and I am betting my $1 that I still don't hear back from SGP.

I know I am pretty much shit out of luck. I posted back in the day of what short block to go w/ between SGP and Z1... I went w/ SGP because they had a much better reputation for customer support..... Not sure they are living up to the reputation, which is really a shamed. I have had nothing but problems w/ that motor, which has always been very suspect sounding, even according to local Z experts.

Thoughts? I am open to input.

Chris.
